CAD

Our previous CAD user, Jonathan Rancudo, has put together a Dropbox folder containing parts that you can buy and use in FTC, but don't currently have a CAD file attached to them. You are free to download and use these files for use in CAD'ing your robot.

How to Open and View .ipt CAD Files

CREO, a free CAD program for all FIRST teams provided by PTC, can open .ipt files, so you should be able to open the files.

In order to open these types of files without using CREO by PTC, you can download and use the Autodesk Inventor View 2014. This allows you to open and view .ipt, .iam, .dwg, and .idw file types. There are also other CAD computer programs you may use to open these if you don't have or want to use these other solutions.

Jonathan, our previous CAD expert, designed a new base using Actobotics that we named after the existing Actobotics Agent 390 base. This base was used for our RES-Q robot.
